Works are currently underway at Mġarr Port aimed at improving facilities for passengers who use the fast ferry service as part of their journey, Transport Minister Chris Bonett said.

In a Facebook post, Bonett said the ongoing works were intended to improve the facilities available to passengers using the fast ferry service between Malta and Gozo.

“Currently, work is underway at Mġarr Harbour to improve the facilities for the thousands of passengers who choose the fast ferry as part of their journey,” Bonett said.

He added that further measures would be introduced in the coming days to strengthen the service, which he described as a popular mode of transport.
