The Gozo Central Public Library will host a series of four sessions in November to help participants learn about seeds, germination and growing plants.

The sessions will take place on 7, 14, 21 and 28 November, starting at 10.30am. Participants will learn about the different stages of plant growth, from planting a seed to the development of a young plant.

The workshops will also explore what can be grown locally, how seeds can be preserved and shared, and the importance of passing on knowledge about agriculture and food production.

The initiative forms part of Gozo’s bid for the European Region of Gastronomy, which aims to promote local food, agricultural traditions and food education.

The project is being organised in collaboration with the Gozo Regional Council, the Gozo Central Public Library, the National Literacy Agency, the Grow 10 Trees Project, and the Research and Advisory Services Directorate within the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Supply.

The sessions will be held at the Gozo Central Public Library. For further information, interested participants can contact eventsgozo.library@gov.mt.
